OSHA Issues ACA Whistleblower Protections

OSHA has issued a final rule establishing procedures for investigating complaints of retaliation against whistleblowers in the health care sector, a responsibility the 2010 Affordable Care Act (ACA) delegated to the agency. In an Oct. 13 Federal Register notice, OSHA announces its “Procedures for the Handling of Retaliation Complaints Under Section 1558 of the Affordable Care Act,” which will govern agency investigations of retaliation complaints from whistleblowers in the health care sector.
