Progressive group names new chief

The Center for Progressive Reform (CPR), which is deeply engaged in OSHA policy issues, said Thursday it had named Robert Verchick to be the organization’s third president, succeeding Rena Steinzor, who has served in the post for the past seven years and helped found the group. OSHA's current rulemaking on crystalline silica ( see related coverage ) is one of the central concerns for the organization. Steinzor stays on as a member scholar at CPR.
