DOL Increases OSHA Penalties 2 Percent To Adjust For Inflation

The Labor Department (DOL) has announced a 2 percent increase in civil penalties for OSHA violations in 2018 to adjust for inflation, in accordance with DOL's 2016 rule requiring annual penalty increases based on cost-of-living adjustments, according to a Jan. 2 notice in the Federal Register.
