OSHA Delays Beryllium Rule's Enforcement, Citing Settlement Talks

The Trump administration is delaying by 60 days enforcement of a host of provisions of the Obama OSHA's final beryllium rule to provide additional time for the agency to finalize settlement discussions with industry groups that are challenging the measure and to ensure that stakeholders are “aware of their obligations,” the agency says. OSHA announced March 2 that it is delaying until May 11 enforcement all of the rule's general industry requirements, as well as its new permissible exposure limits...
