OSHA Proposes To Extend Beryllium Compliance Deadlines

OSHA is proposing to extend by nine months -- until Dec. 12 -- the compliance deadlines for most of the so called “ancillary provisions” of its beryllium standard, in order to prepare another rulemaking to propose changes to those provisions, as agreed to in a recent settlement with industry producers. The proposed rule, scheduled for publication in the Federal Register on June 1, would extend the compliance dates for the rule's provisions applying “to all processes, operations, or areas...
