Driver death leads to calls for road safety programs

Massachusetts worker advocates are calling on employers whose employees drive for work to devise comprehensive safety programs related to driving, following a man's recent death when the tractor trailer he was driving overturned. The Massachusetts Coalition for Occupational Safety & Health says employers need to ensure that work vehicles are well-maintained and safe to operate and that employees are assigned driving schedules that follow state and federal hours of service rules, including rest breaks and maximum hours workers can drive...
